After the battle of Iwo Jima, the three surviving flag-raisers – Ira Hayes (Adam Beach, left), John “Doc” Bradley (Ryan Phillippe, center), and Rene Gagnon (Jesse Bradford, right) – are returned to the U.S. and asked to participate in a bond tour that will trade on the flag-raisers’ celebrity to raise money for victory.
