The Marvel Comics adaptation's total climbed to $144,156,124 after just six days, jumping 16 spots on the all time chart to No. 104 in the process. Spider-Man's gross is a mere $340 less than No. 103 Dr. Dolittle's $144,156,464, and it will likely land at No. 95 by Thursday.
Spidey's still on pace to spin the Fastest to $200 Million record, a feat it should pull off by Sunday, its 10th day of release.
The current title holder is Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, which did it in 13 days. On its comparable Wednesday, it dipped 5.2% from Tuesday to $7,751,876 for an eight-day total of $132,475,660.
