ABOUT BACKSPIN (from Bravo's Web site):
Backspin
examines a life in reverse beginning with a recent milestone in the star's life and returns back to childhood in search of the defining moment that set his or her destiny in motion. Afterwards, the storytelling is reversed again and events are replayed chronologically to illustrate the inevitable course of fate, followed by a quick recap of how the star's life has since changed.

BACKSPIN - MEL GIBSON (from Bravo's Web site):
Before The Passion of the Christ was released to the public, who knew that Mel Gibson wanted to make such a personal, religious and controversial film?

This edition of Backspin starts with the unheralded success that The Passion has brought to Mel Gibson, and spins his life backwards all the way to his early acting years in Australia. This episode will touch upon some of his first films, including The Bounty with Anthony Hopkins and The Year of Living Dangerously with Sigourney Weaver. At the root of it all, Mel's decision to become an actor, even after considering the priesthood. Was it his decision? How did it happen? The Passion of the Christ ties it all together.
