Em Busca de Iara (2013)

Through a personal investigation of her niece, Mariana Pamplona, the film recover the life of the guerrilla Iara Iavelberg. She was a cultured and beautiful woman who left behind a comfortable family life, opting to engage in an armed struggle against the military dictatorship in Brazil. Living in hiding, in on routine of kidnappings and armed actions, she became the companion of the ex-army caption Carlos Lamarca, sharing whit him the post of one of the most sought after targets of the military regime. The film dismantles the official version of the dictatorship, which attributes Iara's death in Salvador in 1971 to a suicide.
