'The Tourist' Vacations in December
Sony Pictures announced this afternoon that the Johnny Depp-Angelina Jolie romantic thriller The Tourist is now set to open Dec. 10. This comes a day after Sony also shuffled Underworld 4 and added Roland Emmerich's Anonymous to their upcoming slate.

A remake of French thriller Anthony Zimmer, The Tourist features Depp as an American vacationing in Venice, Italy, who, while attempting to romance Jolie's character, becomes embroiled in a web of international intrigue and suspense. This year has already been a good one for Depp and Jolie, as they have each had hits in Alice in Wonderland ($334.2 million) and Salt ($104.2 million and counting), respectively. Directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, who won the Best Foreign Language Oscar in 2007 for Cold War drama The Lives of Others, The Tourist will debut opposite The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and David O. Russell's The Fighter.

Sony added Anonymous to March 25, 2011, where it will face Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2: Rodrick Rules and Zach Snyder's Sucker Punch. Emmerich is coming off a monster international hit in 2012, which has grossed over $769 million worldwide. Anonymous marks a bit of a departure for the action director, though, as it is a period political thriller that offers up the theory that William Shakespeare was not the actual author of his plays. The movie stars Rhys Ifans, Derek Jacobi, Vanessa Redgrave, Xavier Samuel and David Thewlis.

Underworld 4 has been bumped from Sept. 23, 2011 to Jan. 20, 2012. This date lines up perfectly with that of the last two installments in the series: Underworld: Evolution opened Jan. 20, 2006 and Underworld: Rise of the Lycans debuted Jan. 23, 2009. The first three installments in the Underworld series have made just under $300 million worldwide, and Underworld 4 is now expected to be the first entry in 3D.
